It it wrong I was hoping for a version of her like her in-game UMK3 and SNES version of MK2?Β In other words, with a human face like Kitana?Β I like to imagine her with a human face inhaling up her opponent for her Fatality.

Mileena doesn't have a human face even inΒ MK2 or UMK3, it's visible during her fatality (or her 2nd ending screen in mk2). She looks similar to Kitana thanks to the mask but there is still fangs behind it.

Due to memory constraints or a programming oversight, in MK2 (SNES) and UMK3, her face is Kitana's until after she inhales her opponent.Β It made an impression on me as an eternal kiss of death.

Ok, I don't really know the Super Nintendo version
However, on the original arcade version, Mileena's face was different than Kitana :
