scythes are cool! too bad there not very ... ugh whats the word?
oh right! Practicle! ( miss spelled )
the only you can truely use them is with a big spikey riot shield.
or on horse back.
but still its a good weapon for intimidation.

It depends on the wielderβs intentions. If itβs to decimate from a distance, then itβs very practical. If itβs from close range then itβs somewhat practical.

But one could use it as an armor piercer... If the blade isn't the averyage paper thin farming blade, and needs a different handle. This model is good.

Don't take this the wrong way, but that is a great looking show peace. As for a functioning combat weapon, not going to happen more than a couple of times. The main reason is those 2 really noticeable weak points in the shaft of the weapon. That large diamond shape area around that stone would look much sturdier if the met the sides of the shaft rather than having the shaft ends meet the diamond points. In a real world use, that thing would snap at one of those points in just 1 really powerful hit against anything with a harder mass.

Didn't skallagrim say something about that with fantasy swords? I'm sure he did.

All comments are welcome so dont worry. Well the design wasn`t mine i tought that the shape of the blades and the centerpiece is impressing so i asked for permision and i made it. We were talking quite a lot and his idea of the weapon was that its some sort of magic stone (gem) so maybe the stone protects it from breaking. But your right in real life that would be the weak spot and would break realy fast. As a said thx for the comment i realy like all comments cuz from negative comments i can learn.

I like the work, the image is great, I was just commenting on the functionality of the over all look. As for "magical" weapons, I to have designed several for my RPG game that I wrote some time ago. I had someone draw up the weapons but it was a few years ago and when he was starting out and the commissions were not 100% what I wanted but I didn't bother saying anything as he didn't charge me for them.
Do you charge for commissions?

yes i know but i was thinking if you use it too fight then you could hurt yourself with that bottom blade so i made a compartiment where the blade can be stored with the help of 1 button

If I may chime in, it also would make a good counterweight to help with balance and momentum on the swings. Also gives it a nicely nonlethal thumping device if you don't necessarily want to kill your opponent. Personally I find it quite pleasing.

Counterweight? that's what the magic stone is for it not only provides magic, it also provides stabilization and high hit power when it is spinning like a gyroscope.

Fair enough, though I wasn't looking at it as a magic weapon. still, always good to have it built to behave like a normal weapon in case for whatever reason, the magic goes away...
