Description An adventure is about to begin! This young Dark Lord from a distant Exo Planet of Morena is about to his planet to visit another. The Dragon Orb or Philosopher's Stone stands above a dimensional gate. This Dark Lord might not understand what the gate is, IF he survives his first trip, he might understand how to use it for traveling.
This is an updated drawing from an old 1990 sketch. Back then, I used a tech pen. Falcon dip nib pen and ink.

Some where in those ruins, he has to open gate system with that staff. He has some ideas what to to, and how to do it. It is obvious there were others who thought they were going to open it too.

The technical pens, especially the rapidiographs, were pains in the ass. I had nothing but trouble with mine. The current "throw away" pens, to me, are better than the rapidographs.

I agree with you about the tech pens. I spent allot of money on those pens. I think I spent more time and effort trying to clean them than drawing with them. I went to using fountain pens after after a few years of the tech pens. Fountain pen can be a mess, but they are not as awful as the tech pens.
I have used the throw away tech pens.. now those pens are nice to use!

I have a couple of fountain pens, now that you mention it...they are almost indestructable.
*trying to remember where I put them...all I have to do when I find them is clean them real well and they will work again*

Sheaffer made an excellent fountain pen. Those pens use a cartridge instead of a bladder. The Sheaffer pens seldom made messes. If the pens were hot, that would cause a mess. I used to take my sheaffer pens on hikes or backpack trips, they were excellent for fast sketching, or detailed drawing.
Soaking the your pens in a warm cup of water might restore the tips and casings. I would be curious of what brand of pens you have.

I bought them in a set of 2...20 years ago. Rotring Art Pens. The common fountain pen cartridge will work in these. These are no longer made. Soaking the nibs in warm water does bring them back to life.
The Alyssa and Cherith comic, the one where they ate the radioactive salsa, was drawn with these. (On the September page.)

Rotring art pens were great pens! I collected allot of pens. Rotring was one I did not get. I have seen allot of fine art made with those pens.
