I'm not too good at animals myself, but this is adorable. I think the problem you have is mostly with the fur...it looks like you're shading it as if it were a solid, but in this case, a dog would have fur. So you need to go about shading it differently...these should hopefully help you out a bit: [link] [link] [link] (it's surprisingly hard to find a good fur tutorial, lol)
