Description Here is the famed Norwegian ocean liner that dissapeared in 1951.

M/S Franch Berland was built in Clydebank in 1921 as a sibling to the Dumana. However, it was converted into a steam ocean liner. In 1939, WW2 broke out, and so, the Franch Berland(under joined ownership between Norway and the U.K) was converted into a troopship. Named 'H.M.S Ghost', because of many situations when the ship wasn't targeted by German U-Boots, sank 9 ships in wartime service, one was a German 'Luzifer class' destroyer, and the rest were Soviet patrol boats. In 1946, M/S Franch Berland was refurbished back into an ocean liner. In 1951, just after dropping passengers and cargo off in Stavanger, Norway, the ship went off to pick up new passengers, it suddenly started listing heavily to starboard aft. The ship's crew evacuated, and the ship wasn't seen again, no wreckage was found, nor the flags. In 2001, a fishing boat was rammed by what the owner described as 'A grey ocean liner, with faded colours on the funnel." It has been speculated that the Franch Berland has become an actual, self-operating, ghost ship.
