Here's my Ghost Type Eeveeluiton! Angeleon!

No doubt you can tell by the the name and appearance that I went with a bright and benevolent design. Angeleon actually went through multiple names. It started with Ethereon. I have seen a few other ghost eeveelution designs with the same name on DA. All but one (that I can recall) were dark in their appearance like other ghost types. It is true that the word "ethereal" does refer to the spiritual...BUT it also means "heavenly", and Heaven is not dark. This is how the idea started. I wanted to break the mold of dark, malevolent, or mischievous ghost types. That and since Eevee and evolutions are so loved by pokemon fans, I wanted it stand out from other Ghost pokemon.

At some point, I started calling it Souleon as I wanted it to embody what I believe the essence of the soul is, light, a being of living light energy. But then, out of nowhere, I was thinking about my design when the name Angeleon came to me. From that, I developed its nature and abilities.

But enough of how I developed it. Onto the design itself.

The fire surrounding it is an electromagnetic fire (in other words, its aura). To those that have no evil intent, the flames are warm and soothing. To those that do intend evil, it will burn them. The rainbow effect across its body is the same effect as water when it refracts light, but I made it a rainbow to emphasize light's beauty through color. The "ripples" (if you will) move just like water; though if you touched Angeleon, its body would feel as solid as flesh and blood does. The rainbow color also changes constantly.

Name: Angeleon

Species: Guardian Spirit Pokemon

Type: Ghost

Angeleon was first discovered by a traveler who got lost in a forest foolishly thinking they could make it through before the sun went down. This particular forest had many mischievous ghost type pokemon. They play tricks on the traveler and their pokemon scaring them witless. The young trainer began to cry at some point. Then...the ghost pokemon stopped quite suddenly. When the trainer looked up, there, about twenty feet away from them, a bright figure stood. It was the pokemon we now know as Angeleon. Despite being afraid before, the trainer said their fear just seem to melt away. They watched as the firgure went from white with a rainbow water effect to a solid red color. It then began to change color, transitioning through colors: red, orange, yellow. Then it stopped when it had turned a deep, mid green...the trainer's favorite color. They got up and walked over to it. It did not move until they were a few feet away. It turned and began walking. The traveler followed it for some time till it stopped. When the trainer caught up with it, They saw the end of the forest and the lights of buildings in the distance.

Ability: Guardian's Aura- Protects the user and allies from all status conditions.

Guardian's Wrath (second ability)- When the user’s ally faints, the user’s A and SA stats increase significantly.

Guardian's Light (hidden ability)- Boosts the power of Psychic and light based moves by 25%.

Angeleon has a few natural abilities:

-As already stated, it can change its color to any color. It is not known how, but Angeleon seems to know what a person's favorite color is.

-As its body is light, it can change its frequency (this is how it changes its color). But it can also change to a frequency that is invisible to the naked eye. Though it can be detected through various means, depending on the frequency it changes to.

-It has the ability to become corporal (in other words, it can become flesh and blood). But it can only do so by becoming a quadrupedal pokemon it is familiar with. In this sate, it takes on the type and abilities of the pokemon it takes the form of, and it is undetectable allowing it to hide in plain sight. However, its moves do not change. If it fights, it is always in its normal form.

Evolution Method: Give Eevee an Ethereal Pearl. The Ethereal Pearl gets its name from giving off light that is visible from any distance, as long as there is no obstruction, and is the same size from that distance. It is believed that the Ethereal Pearls came into existence long ago when Solgaleo or Lunala clashed with another being. But that is just speculation. Whatever caused it, it was a source of not natural but super natural light. To date, only about a hundred Ethereal Pearls are know to exist making Angeleon extremely rare. Unlike other evolutionary stones that seem to fade after being used, Ethereal Pearls do not seem to diminish no matter how many times they used to evolve Eevees into Angeleons. For this reason, a few Ethereal Pearls are being sent to each region to allow others the opportunity to get their own Angeleon.

New Moves:

Note- Angeleon can learn some Psychic type moves as well as Ghost.

Ethereal Light- The user unleashes a light that harms enemies and heals allies.

Type: Ghost

Damage: 60

Accuracy:100

PP: 15

Strikes all targets on the field regardless of position. Normal types are affected by this move (normal damage). Bypasses moves that block attacks like Protect.

Blight- The user summons a sphere of black light that steals the energy of the opposing pokemon.

Type: Dark

Deals a little damage to affected pokemon each turn. Nullifies the effects of stat increasing moves. Prevents the affected pokemon from healing with healing moves involving energy (Synthesis, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Heal Pulse, etc.). Lasts 5 turns.

Stats:

HP: 95

Attack: 60

Defense: 65

Special Attack: 110

Special Defense: 65

Speed: 130

PokeDex Entries:

1. Angeleon’s body is composed of light energy, allowing it to turn many different colors and even become invisible.

2. Angeleon are known for helping travelers who are lost or afraid within its territory.

3. Angeleon can hide in plain sight by transforming into a quadrupedal pokemon.

4. They are very peaceful pokemon, being very friendly with newcomers to its home.

5. It is very protective of the pokemon in its home becoming wrathful when they are harmed by outsiders.

6. Angeleon can sense if someone has good or ill intent, and will deter those that with the latter.

7. As there body is composed of light, they can travel varying distances almost instantly.

8. It is known to use a form of light called “black light” to punish evil.
