This week's Pixel Sprite entry is the shadow-element spider creature, Qurasto! While definitely having spider characteristics, its long body and tail make it a little more distinct. I really like the color patterning on Qurasto. The intent was to show a sort of venomous pattern with the stripes and while that was more work to shade, I think the end results were worth it. The blue poison dripping off its fangs is another example of some layering with the pixels. I don't do that very often but I do think it helps add more personality to the sprite.
