It's time for another entry in the Pokemon emblem series. Another of my favorites from Gen 1 is the big jellyfish Pokemon, Tentacruel! I know this Pokemon's role in the overall meta of the battle scene is somewhat mixed. It has a water/poison typing which I remember being pretty average in the old games. I always just like Tentacruel's design and have made it a point to raise one up in each game I play.

For the emblem itself, Tentacruel was another combination of relatively simple shapes. Its main body is mostly round and the defining features are definitely the large red jewels. After that I experimented with various positions for the numerous tentacles. Creating a straight shape, putting the accent lines and then bending it into position under the body ended up working well. According to the Pokedex entries, Tentracruel actually have a ton of legs. I went with the number shown here mostly as a design choice. I could have done more but the overall piece would have become rather busy.
