An OC of mine set in the Taskforce Legends setting, though instead of being a warrior that has been battle hardened over centuries of various wars and is still alive in the Modern Era, he actually didn't want to live for centuries and was killed when the British took over New Amsterdam (now New York) back in the 1600s. Sure he's rich from the Tulip Mania incident (a real world period of Dutch history), but he couldn't exactly buy a Ferrari in his time period. Though he did own a lavish house near where Wall Street is nowadays. He was born in 1613 and retired at 23 wealthy from Tulipmania in 1636, and he was lucky enough to be the son of a Tulip farmer and was already accomplished Dutch artist who also wrote a novel involving a man named "Flanders".

Matt Groningen might have been bi as a letter written by him mentioned romantic feelings towards a Dutch Nobleman and he described his Flanders character's muscles in detail in his novel.

Matt Groningen is named after the Creator of the Simpsons Matt Groening and Flanders is a reference to Ned Flanders from the same show (sure it's named after Flanders Street in Portland Oregon, but the street is probably named after the region in Europe relating to the Netherlands).
