Description
Beta Ray Bill was the greatest creation of the Korbonite people, volunteering to have his mind implanted into a bionically enhanced cyborg body to serve as their greatest protector. Whil travelling through our solar system Bill encountered the Asgardian Thunder God Thor. Believing each other to be an invader, Bill and Thor fought. During the battle, Thor was seperated from his hammer Mjolnir, which Bill then claimed for himself. Surprisingly, Mjolnir judged Bill worthy and bestowed Thor's powers upon him. Despite growing to respect each other as warriors, Thor and Bill continued to clash over Mjolnir, whose power Bill thought would help him better protect his people. Respecting Bill's dedication and valour, Thor's father Odin would present him with a hammer of his own, Stormbreaker, the equal of Mjolnir.

Since then Bill has become a sworn brother to Thor and a valuable ally to Asgard, though his efforts to protect his own people ultimately met in failure when they were wiped out by Galactus.
