Another shot of one of the kestrels that was on show during the summer at a local country show.I say it all the time, but I do really enjoying seeing/photographing birds of prey, even if there is only so many angles of a bird you can get!!

I enjoyed your gallery and was interested in why you could take so vividly eloquent pictures of small birds or animals. I mean I've felt they were expressing their own feeling or emotion in your photo with their gaze or face.
You may have such a nature that makes small birds or animals think standing on an equal footing to you, mayn't you?

Amazing photo - I was looking for a bird with exactly the same properties as a kestrel - especially the hovering bit and the size. I want to use them as a character in an illustrated book I am working on. This is such a beautiful close-up shot. I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of that beak...
