NC-17, though not a label used for fanfiction websites, refers to movies that you have to be 18 or older to watch. The label is considered worse that R-rated (since you only have to be 17 to watch R movies) and so NC-17 more or less means that the work has some pretty intense porn.

I'd like to see Gaster's reaction to Alphys' fan--I mean, FRIEND-fiction. He'd probably see it as a serious literary work from Alphys and start proof-reading & acting like her editor, giving genuinely constructive criticism while an embarrassed Alphys freaks out internally without registering anything said because oh god he just read her erotic fantasies about psuedo Asgore and Toriel
