Since he was saved by the legendary Moltres in the middle of a storm, Blaine has decided to train Fire Pokémon, starting with Pokémon found near the volcano on his island, such as Magmortar, and those from other regions, such as Turtonator and Camerupt. The explosive power of these Pokémon also reflects his fiery personality, as do the fiery Darmanitan and the spicy Scovillain. But his most trusted companion is Rapidash, who accompanies him on every excursion.
