The Professor Oak abandoned his trainer career some time ago but still maintains a highly respectable team. In his youth he tried to build a balanced team, with a Flareon, a Vileplume and a Gyarados. He then chose a Clefable, a Pokémon that intrigued him with its bizarre properties, as well as sometimes being considered the counterpart of Gengar, his rival's Pokémon, even if only due to myths that have now been disproven. However, among his most famous Pokémon are Tauros and especially Nidoking, which famously clashed with Agahta's Gengar. Now, however, Oak has a new purchase that sometimes replaces Clefable: the Mythical Mew.
