I know what you mean. The hp series brought so much joy to my life when i had a hard time and snape was one of my favourite characters, alan portraied him so perfectly. Somehow i feel like my childhood is over now.

Yes, it was basically my childhood. I agree, I think he made Snape likeable even though Snape was never my favourite character from the book. It's definitely end of an era. At least for me.
