thanks - she was actually swimming in a hot spring - in the middle of winter, surrounded by deep snow - so... sort of ice polar-like environment

He makes me think of these monkeys in Japan who love to stay in the water when it's cold.

oops... just looked it up, and those snow monkeys have been going into the hot springs since a young female discovered how nice they are when she waded in to get some soybeans someone had thrown in the water - in 1963. well, that's still only 47 years

lol... i know about those macaques in japan - the photos and film are always so beautiful of them soaking in the warm springs. did you know they only recently started getting into them? i always assumed it had been going on since the beginning of macaques, but i think i heard they've only been doing it for the past 30 years or so.
i think lulu is feeling nervous - she loves swimming in the hot springs, but she is so skinny that she is always fighting sinking into the water. so it is a real effort for her. doesn't stop her from jumping in every time we go, though
