oui, that is called "vignette", and simulates the way old lenses created the darkness around the edge of every photo - in the early days of photography. funny thing is, in these modern times, only low-quality lenses cause that - it is considered to be a distortion, and even a problem.but some of us like to create the effect in photoshop
