vs.The race is on! The Great Wall of China is not only a race that tests endurance and speed, but also agility and trust between a shedu and their rider. With its twisting path and narrow walk ways, the shedu's massive bodies have to bend and move along with those turns: truly a difficult feat to accomplish on stone and bricks. Our money is on #403, and even though he appears to be laboring, he is still holding the top position. Hang in there!

Character: Johanni is a big boy, but he certainly isn't one to act like it. He's a mama's boy and will often go running to whomever mama is if he is ever scared or feels threatened. He lacks self confidence and is timid. He has a deep found terror for thunderstorms and will squeeze into the door of the house and sleep dead center in the living room if he can. On the track during training, he shows a lot of stamina coupled with his natural speed, but often doesn't run beside others well, for fear that they may harm him. This trait, we will have to work on before we start testing him.

The piece was a blast to make but also involved a lot of ice... I drew each individual brick on that wall, and now I believe I have a deep rooted hatred for them. Perhaps we will make up someday. All in all, this piece totaled out to approximately 22 hours in working time. During that time, I kinda fell in love with Sforza too. Such an amazing cat. Anyway! Yeah, lots of work, lots of time, many meals skipped or put off, late nights, etc. I just feel so proud of myself that I got it done! Johanni's face.. XD.
