Ahh, I’ve been all over the place this month, but I somehow got his app done! It really has been a long time coming The line art was done a year ago and having failed to redraw it twice, I just shaded the original! Luckily, I had an extra copy of the line art saved in my drive:’) But damn his history took me forever (ノ・д・)ノ.

Personality:
♥ Unyielding- He's not one to give up easily. Even if he might complain, he won't back down no matter what life throws at him.
♥ Neighbourly- Though he might look hard to approach, he's friendly and community-oriented. Though he won't be smiling, he'll start a conversation and greet people when they pass by.
♥ Sentimental- He is a very emotional person though he does his best to hide it. He treasures all the relationships in his life.
♧ Self-conscious – Bobby has always been insecure about many aspects of himself. From being compared to his brother as a child to his wife excelling in her career path. His insecurities caused him to ruin his relationships. Now with his age, he's scared that he won't be able to protect his granddaughter,
♧ Quixotic – He is very idealistic when it comes to life. When he was a child, he yearned for the perfect family. As a teenager, he dreamed of a perfect romance like the one he'd read in novels; though things never go as plan and he is left disappointed every time, he still believes that it's possible.
♧ Maternal – Though he's shy about it, he really can't help but care and look after others. From his family, friends, to strangers, if he sees your having a hard time, he'll try his best to help.
♠ Testy – He had always been a little grumpy and easily embarrassed. Though he won't pull a temper tantrum like he did as a kid, he might end up either lecturing you, sulking, or storming out.
♠ Loud – If he has an opinion on something, you will hear it. Whether he knows what he's talking about or not, he can talk your ear off if you get him going. He is also loud in the literal sense.
♠ Regretful – He has many things that he wished he could have done differently in his life. There were a lot of relationships that he had ruined with his own hands; his relationship with his brother, his stepdad, his ex-wife; if he hadn't been so prideful, would things have turned out different? He can't help but think about it in the middle of the night.
Time Era: Present Day (2021)
History: Bobby was born to a small middle-class family in the suburbs. Though he lost his father at an early age, he never stopped idolizing him. He grew up on stories of his father's escapades through the region, his talents as a trainer, and his accomplishments during the war. But the stories Bobby enjoyed hearing the most were just the simple retellings of the short moments they had spent together as a family. After his father's disappearance, the warmth that once surrounded him had vanished. His mother was a shell of her former self, and due to his insecurities, he never got close to his older brother. As a child, Bobby, who was frail and prone to illness, couldn't help but envy his older brother. Most of his early years were spent indoors drawing or reading comic books, but he became rebellious once he got older and healthier. He skipped school and got into many fights, causing his mother to become extremely concerned with him. After a particular incident that sent him to the ER, his mother had enough of him. After recovering, he was met with his soon-to-be stepdad.
The man wasn't a stranger to him. He was a longtime family friend; having grown up with his father, most of the stories he heard had come directly from him, so why was he trying to replace him now? Bobby refused to accept it.
His mother thought that he needed a father figure, but instead, this stepdad of his became the target of most of his anger and irritation, but no matter how much of a fuss Bobby made, his stepdad didn't seem to care. Having been in the army with his dad, he had a sternness to him when Bobby went out of line but otherwise was quiet, soft-spoken and usually didn't get in the way. Even with the marriage, things didn't seem to change much. His brother seemed indifferent, his mother still looked unhappy, and his new stepdad was usually at work. With Bobby finally calming down, they all barely acknowledged each other's existence until his little sister was born.
His sister breathed new air into their crumbling family, and his mother gained back the vitality she once had. Even though there was some jealousy, seeing that she had gotten the attention he had always craved for, he could never hate her. No matter how much they would fight and bicker, he enjoyed his time with her; even his older brother was utterly at her mercy, being pulled along wherever they went spending more time with the both of them. Bobby found his brother wasn't that bad, though things couldn't stay like this forever and eventually, they all had to grow up. His brother left first, wanting to follow in their father's footsteps and join the army, which their mother was firmly against; even so, he joined a military academy. Bobby, on the other hand, got his girlfriend at the time pregnant. Barbra was a girl he had met when he was on his usual outings with his siblings, she was a little older than him and took a liking to his little sister and was generally standoffish with him, but somehow, years later, she ended up confessing to him. She was free-spirited and wild but also independent and goal orientated. His mother hated her, but she still insisted on them getting married for the sake of the baby. A family was never on Barbra's radar, but since she did love Bobby and wanted his mom out of her hair, she relented.
With his first daughter born, Bobby put his studies on hold to take care of her leaving Barbra the primary breadwinner in the family; though some insecurities arose, the days went smoothly. One night Bobby received a distressed phone call from his little sister. She sounded hysterical, crying in a way he would never have expected from her. He didn't understand what was happening, but he did his best to comfort her, but she seemed to get more and more irritated in the process before the phone line cut. Trying to call back, he found the line was dead. Worried, as soon as his wife came home from work, he drove the car back to his old house. Both his mother and stepdad looked exhausted. After going upstairs to check on her, she was gone. The phone was hanging off the tabletop, and the window was wide open looking down; he found his old rope ladder swaying in the wind. Though he used to sneak out a lot at her age, seeing that she wasn't in the right state of mind, they couldn't help but worry. When they called the police, they chalked it up to teenage rebellion and said she'd probably come back on her own, but she never did.
Slowly Bobby found more and more people disappear from his life; his older brother was drafted and never returned, his mother finally broke down, and his stepdad slowly lost touch. Even with his second daughter being born, he and Barbra had grown so far apart that they ended up separating. Bobby did his best to raise his daughters as a single father. Still, he couldn't help but be overprotective and a little paranoid causing some resentment to build up, but as they grew up and tried to understand him, their relationship with him mended over time as they started families of their own.
With five grandchildren and a great-grandson on the way, he was now content to spend his retirement peacefully in his old family home. Though he was a little lonely, he found comfort in walking around and talking to old friends in the neighbourhood, that was until his youngest daughter fell into financial ruin. He couldn't understand how it happened, but it didn't stop him from lecturing her about it. She had three children, and to him, his son-in-law was a complete loser, but he still opened his house to them.
His daughter and son-in-law were usually at work, so he didn't see much of them, and with the sizeable generational gap, he had trouble connecting with his grandchildren, who would usually stay in their rooms all day. Until he ran into his youngest granddaughter, who looked to be a complete mess; her hair was matted, and she looked like she hadn't slept for days. Distressed, he braided her hair while lecturing about the importance of sleep, then he promptly sent her to her room with a glass of milk. After that day, she started following him around, and it became a habit for him to fix up her hair and make her treats. He felt like she was very pitiful; both her parents were busy, and unlike her brothers, who were old enough to take care of themselves, she was still a child and needed a parental figure in her life. He did his best to be there for all his grandchildren, the eldest was polite and distant, and the younger brother was bratty and rebellious. In contrast, the youngest had grown strongly attached to him.
While basking on the porch, his granddaughter would often come out and join him. She would often tell him stories she found on the internet; he soon found out that her tastes in stories were a bit morbid despite her angelic appearance. She had similar tastes as his older brother, so he mildly accepted it. During one of these talks, she mentioned something about cold cases and missing persons. He was uncomfortable, but he still quietly listened as she talked. Soon something caught his eye in the distance. Standing by the woods, a teenage girl in yellow waved and called out to him. He could never forget that smile.
"Tracy?"
His little sister gestured him to follow, but he stood up and walked into the house.
It has been over fifty years since she had gone missing; even if she were alive, she wouldn't still look the same as she did back then unless…
Tears formed in his eyes; it had been years since he last cried, but he was terrified.
Was this it? Were they coming for me?
He looked at his granddaughter that was awkwardly trying to comfort him.
They still need me. I can't go with you yet, sorry.
He doesn't remember when he fell asleep, but Bobby dreamed of his brother and sister. Before he could catch up to them, he was woken up by his granddaughter's scream. Sitting up it, Bobby found that he wasn't in his house anymore. Disorientated and confused looking around, he saw his granddaughter run right past him as if she was chasing someone.
He called out to her, but the fog had already enveloped her. Staggering up, he tried to follow. He grabbed hold of his cane that seemed to have crawled in front of him. He felt it didn't look quite right before collapsing on the ground.
