My first attempt at drawing a whale breaching was just okay - nothing wrong, but not very visually interesting. I found a set of images from a photographer here (www.marysmark.com/ ) who had some exceptional pictures of humpback whales breaching. Not sure if this is proper etiquette, but I tried to reach out to the original photographer to thank her (and recognize her work), but I haven't gotten any response.
