Description
So, here it is - the second "Busted" character, making it an actual series now. I've done sketches for the other FFVII chaps, so will continue to turn them into polished pieces. 2 done - 10 to go.
This one was so much fun. The rendering is surprisingly easy, so I enjoyed redesigning her costume the most. I learnt a lot doing Cloud and feel like Aerith has landed the style a lot better. Although one thing I've yet to experiment with is imperfections in the cloth - like rips and stains. Probably Cid will be the best to try that out with.

I imagine that it would definitely be censored. I'm not even positive that this version would have swords. But obviously it's a crucial part of the story, so maybe they just wield magic or some kind of Tron-like hacking powers, and Sephiroth would trap her in a different dimension.

I just want to point out that Disney is not above killing off major characters for the sake of an impactful story. Most of the time it is parents or parental figurs mind you. but still we have: Bambi's Mom, Simba's Dad, Quasimodo's Mother, Tiana's Dad, Ariel's Mother, ect.
If Disney were to re-make FF7's story in an animated film I could see them staying true to the story, but doing it in manner similar to Quasi's mother: instead of being stabbed it would be a fatal blow to the head with a blunt object, possibly done in slow-motion and at an angle that you can't see it, but it's something that can be herd and felt by the audience watching the film.

Ah yeah, good observations! I suppose more recently there was also Tadashi in Big Hero 6. As grim as it sounds, I'd kind of hope for some like you suggested - to stray true to source material in some way.

The characterisation in 7 was great. Aerith was sweet and kind but also street smart and cunning. Tifa was tough but also protective and caring. I hope they keep those qualitys in the remake.

These are all absolutely fantastic. I would say, if you ever feel the urge to give this one a second pass with rips and stains and such, as you mentioned, it'd help illustrate her upbringing in the slums very well.

I actually got inspiration from all her different outifts, and then tried to combine them to embellish her original look.
