I understand that this submission is a fair few days from the actual day of Sonic's 30th anniversary. However the art was done on the anniversary, I just never got around to post it here.

Sonic's 30 years old this year, how time flies when you're the speed of sound!

I've always been a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, as some of you have probably noticed from my earlier submissions. I've never really gotten around to drawing the titular character and his friends and acquaintances enough, something I hope to change in the future. I threw this together on a whim as I thought it appropriate to commemorate Sonic's 30th anniversary in someway. It's plainly evident this isn't my best work, with the hastily done airbrush shading, the awkwardness of the hands and Tails' face and the overall proportions being ever so slightly off.

As such I will probably redo this to look a bit more polished in the future, but for now I think it's alright.
