Sonic's rival turned companion knocked his way onto the Megadrive in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 back in 1994, sporting some cool looking dreadlocks and some huge spiked fists! Whilst not my favourite character from the Sonic franchise, I'm still really fond of Knuckles' design and his general character, his story with the Master Emerald always captivated me as the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald were always shrouded in mystery.

It's a shame that this character detail has been somewhat forgotten recently, aside from Sonic Mania and Sonic Mania Adventures.
