The creators have confirmed years ago that Korra and Asami are together, the comics that pick up after the show ends confirms it, them kissing each other a lot, it also showcasing how much they're in love. You know, the usual liberal spew

The funny thing is both characters were portrayed as completely straight throughout the series. Season 3 and 4 did show Korra and Asami hanging out as girl friends more so than Korra hanging out with the other two.
Then in the last 2 minutes of the series the creators decided there's no LGBTQ+ZYX12AttackChopper representation so they made them both bi and girlfriends. The only thing that really happened that implied Korra thought differently of Asami is how in the beginning of season 4 it being a thing where Asami was the only one that Korra stayed in contact with.
