man, i have the biggest problem with that,lol. if i try and make them curvy they tend to look like a pear,lol. but if i draw them laying down, the curves work, weird huh?

Pear shape can be very good. But again, he best references are real people. Also, try looking at your favorite artist pics and try copying them. You'll find in time you'll get the hang of it.
