It has been a while since I produced the last traditional artwork! In fact I've never post any traditional artwork on this account. Maybe it's time for me to fill my gallery with my traditional artworks. Since I'm not that good at digital coloring etc.... oTL
The birds on this artwork are Rothschild’s Mynah or also known as Bali Starling (Jalak Bali). The Bali Starling is restricted to the island of Bali in Indonesia, where it is the island's only endemic vertebrate species.

The outline, yes. Then I used SAI to color the outline. You can say this artwork is 70% traditional and 30% digital, more or less.
Actually I didn't know where I should put this piece into. Deviantart doesn't have 'traditional and digital mixed media'.
But since it gives more traditional feel, I put it into traditional category ehehehe

love the effect of that black patterning on brown... i work with coffee a lot and this is inspiring, I think i'm going to try something like that with ink over a coffee splatter wash ^^

The only thing that comes to mind with the pure unadulterated crispness of those lines is that of sunlight reflecting off of the powder of a fresh snow fall in the depth of winter.
