New art done for a new year at the last Katsucon 2008!"Free to Fly" was a concept of how a peacock is like a phoenix but unable to take to the skies. Its a bit of an experimental piece as well, with coloring and outline techniques. The final piece at Katsucon was embellished with silver and gold ink, 11x14inches.
Digitally done in Photoshop and in Painter!
I'd like to know what people think of the eye/eyelashes, is it too much/unusual? was inspired by the feather lashes from japan, but I'm not sure if i captured it correctly or not.

This is really pretty! I like how the outside is black and then the center is bright blue, it just looks really nice
