I have a strange fantasy. I always come up with stupid things. If there is a fairy who brings winter, fire, etc, there must be a fairy somewhere who brings color to the world maybe? And if there was one, she'd be pretty exotic. The rest is pretty much self explanatory.I wanted to see how far my practice of this summer in Photoshop has brought me. I'm pretty satisfied with the result. I need to work a bit more on contrast/light... and other matters too, but I think I got a bit better ^_^. The moon was a bitch to draw, but I like how it came out. I also wanted something very simple and colorful.
I can't believe college will start again in two weeks... This summer vacation was way too short, but fun. For those who might care: I graduated this year, and will be doing my master in arts in college now. I never really felt like dedicating a journal on that matter, so I'm writing it down here.
Life is way too busy n.n.

I wanna know how you can create colours like this using photoshop cs3, hehe. I guess I'm a traditionalist, have photoshop but no clue how to colour with it lol!

It's a simple colouring technique. With the use of scanned pencil lines (because I dislike digital inking), some hand made texture you can easily create something like this. Do you know how to work with layers and do you understand some photoshop basics? If so I could explain it

I kinda know a little about photoshop and how to create a layer and work on seperate layers, but not much more. Apart from effects filters which I've played with a little. Never had any formal training on using Photoshop hehe.

I love the colour scheme you used. The dress matches the flowers, her hair matches the moon, her eyes match the jewels... It gives a very nice and stable effect. Good job. ^^

I really like how you gave the picture a colourful feeling, to make it fit with the concept, yet you still kept it balanced and in harmony!
Those flowers and leaves are very well drawn/coloured, they're beautiful and still let the character stand out. I'm loving her outfit as well!
