i think a toph without dirty feet is not a real toph... i think it add to the character. next time you see a sign like that, just for the fun of it, go see them, and take the seat, look at their expression while you wiggles your toes hehe.

one question: Where'd you buy the little puff balls on the sides of the headband? I'm looking for some similar to that for a bunny costume(the tail) and tat looks like it'd work.

hmm, well my mom makes puffballs by usuing yarn, she cuts yarn into little strips, ties them together and then seperates the fibers. it puffs up real nice.

I remember my feet were almost that black from my Painted Lady last year. The taxi driver thought it was funny that I was barefoot.
