My best drawing YET of a character from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Which is why it's going into my main gallery, not my scraps.

What kicked off this drawing: Tonight while I was on the awesome Rhay-Robotnik 's Livestream, I really wanted to draw something, but was at a blank for what to draw. So I asked for suggestions. wonderpikachu12 , said "DRAW PONIES." I wasn't very confident in myself that I could do it, partly because a little before this, I had seen this drawing wonderpikachu12 had done of some of his favorite ponies from MLP:FiM- , and thought it looked really amazing, and the fact that my first pony drawing wasn't all that great, and the fact that I'm not good at drawing ponies in general, but I gave it a shot after I decided to draw Rarity.

Why Rarity? I decided to draw her because I have trouble drawing ringlets, so I started sketching her. I had to redraw everything multiple times til it looked right. About a fourth of the way through my sketching, I was sketching her mane, and just shouted "FUDGE IT." and went to this Youtube video and stopped it at 0:32-33-ish to help with the mane: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSbXGs… . After about an hour or so, I had completed Rarity, cleaning up the sketch and adding a "frame" by adding some graphite around Rarity and then smudging it with some tissue.

Overall, I think it turned out OK~

Mediums: Mechanical pencil with .5mm HB graphite, "frame" blended with tissue on 9x12in Strathmore Sketchbook paper. Transparent background around the frame and some color adjustment to make it closer to the original were done in Corel Photo Paint 8.
