Really loved "Sonic Advance 3"! Man, I kinda miss it. So, I made this little poster of the ending shot, but with a couple added twists~ (Yes, headcanon got to me XD)Related content

It's one of the little twists I put in this poster. In my head canon, Metal becomes a good guy after a violent fight with Sonic that knocked his circuits around. He questions his own morals and Dr. Eggman before leaving Sonic with a "I'll be back, but born anew" and becomes a wandering nomad, looking for his now new purpose and free will.
