Old version zengel.deviantart.com/art/1-I-… Now Iskra looks more like an outsider.This is a collaboration between me and the great She drew those background characters and helped with coloring Iskra! :3 I drew Iskra and colored the picture.
I must also say thanks to ~Alimika , she helped me to improve a sketch for this pic ^_^

(I dunno how I'd get into that party, where I'd find the courage to ask or the skill to dance, but) Me walking up to her: "Milady, may I be so bold to ask you to dance with me?"

I'd notice then walk up and say "may I have this dance my beautiful lady?" with a big smile. She's pretty. Being ignored she must be very unique and worth the time.

What is also sad is that when I felt this detached, I couldn't see others who felt the same way, maybe those who cheered me on or those who liked or admired me. I am sure the same can be said for Iskra. ^_^
I always had a massive soft spot for people who felt this, often wanting to help them smile or laugh. This might be my attempt to hide my own similar feelings but reactions are what drives me forward. I wonder if Iskra enjoys people-watching. :3

I recognize in your art the same feelings I had growing up. You work it into your art, I express it in my writing. Outsiders can always recognize one another. It is something that made us what we are today, stronger, more confident, and empathetic to our fellows.

A lovely picture. and i can understand how she feels. been the outsider for most of my life. If i was there i'd walk up and offer to dance just to annoy the people ignoring her. but that is how i am.

I can so relate to this. people avoid me in school, one girl even wants me dead. all because I decided not to me one of the girls who is like everyone else in my school. I can describe them ALL on the spot. have some originality people! other than that your a great artist.

This so reminds me of the roleplaying I am doing with a close friend. She is playing a kitten girl and I her adoptive father. I can see this happening to her as a teen. God she is gonna kill me if I don't share this with her lol.

I guess us Deviants are all outsiders one way or another. This picture is great in portraying that notion with the juxtaposed cool and warm colors as well as the expressions giving it a grouped yet lonely feel to it.
