The photo on the left is gorgeous! The one piece of hair that's blown over her face makes the photo very appealing, because it differentiates it from your average portrait. The spontaneity of the hair on the left photo kind of makes the photo on the right seem a bit too posed and trite. If you're trying for a contrast of both visual effects (the harsh b+w contrast of the left photo, and the soft greyness of the right photo) and subject matter (the spontaneity of the left photo, and the somewhat average pose in the right photo) then placing the two photos side by side works. However, I just find myself a little disappointed; the left photo is so striking, and the right one just doesn't really measure up, in my opinion.
