Description We'll be here,
for the rest of our lives,

This time I wanted to submit immediately my favourite photo from the trip I spoke about in my last journal update [link] .
We experienced two magnificent day for photographs, and this beautiful sunset on the sea came immediately on the first day. Seeing such great manifestation of nature always takes my breath away. Thanks and congrats nature!

This is NOT an HDR. Dynamic range recovered from a single NEF image (Nikon RAW format).

What is Adobe Lightroom? I hear that for the first time - my "only" tool is PS:CS2.

Adobe Lightroom is the last (well, the REAL last is CS3! ) Adobe production for photographers. If you heard about Aperture for Mac or other photo editors like DxO, CaptureOne, Bibble... it's just another photo management/editing software. The good thing is that the controls are very easy to operate and give you immediate preview, without touching the original photo (in fact, the edit material is just saved and re-applied each time you want to export the photo). Lightroom can also handle RAW files since it's based on the last ACR plugin, so it's a good instrument all around. I'm not doing commercials, but it is the easiest to operate I've found, and it resembles CS3 in some ways. See it as an advanced combination of Adobe Bridge and ACR.

Hey I really appreciate that! Yes, we were lucky to be in the right place, but we waited for the sunset a lot and shoot for some hours, so the right time was intentional!

it's wonderfuk what you can do in RAW..I've been blown away at how much contrast I can get from one image

Thanks a lot Andy! Raw is really awesome, especially when dealing with dynamic range and tone adjusting (as well as contrast ones like you said). I can't really press that "QUAL" button, but I'm forced to do that since I don't have unlimited space on the HD nor I have such huge SD at disposal!
At least, I'm using jpegs with occasionally shots!
