Description

We all have opinions and a voice to express them with, never be afraid to share them.

..ofc some people's opinions are like really? There's scientific evidence against you lol. That's my opinion of their opinion and I ain't afraid to share my cache of studies

And then there are places where freedom of speech is banned or discouraged. At least thoughtcrime isn't a thing yet hahha sike I am Jesus and I know all.

I think I can see all the hidden messages in this picture, it they are indeed references to what i think they are?!Β When the truth is hidden by lies in plain sight, people believe the lie instead of thinking for themselves.Β A truth can only uncover a deeper truth and so on, we are sealed from the most basic of truths.

Incredible art, incredible coloring and incredible vision!Β Β I call it,Β You must be Jesus!Β  Β

Thought-provoking work, nice! I would be curious exactly what the baby and Sakura(?) tree are meant to represent for the girl depicted in the picture and some of the other objects, like the hourglass and Earth. I assume they are opinions you might hold yourself, though I'm not sure exactly what they are just from this painting (I can only guess)

Science has given us a lot of good things; I for one am grateful we're able to survive ailments that would have dropped us like flies at the age of 30 and forced us to marry at 12 not that long ago. That said, I think some times people forget that "scientific evidence" and "proof" are not synonyms for "true" or "real". You can even look up "rainbow" in an encyclopedia and find that the theory we are often preached to as fact in school is just that, a theory; other theories make confirming it as 100% unquestionable fact impossible, the same goes for everything else you'll learn(or have learned) in science.

People who really want to learn should be ready to abandon their biases on so called facts when a better explanation comes along(no matter the source), or when the foundation of the idea makes no sense to them no matter who "proved" it to be "true". Humility is one quality severely lacking from the world today in my opinion, arrogance is bred from all backgrounds.

Anywayyyyyssss.....Cool painting . Although I have trouble understanding the significance of some of the objects in the image(I guess a little ambiguity is intentional in a piece like this), the lighting, color, and drawing are all pretty solid .

Yeah, you're definitely right, I was more ranting about some experiences of mine where my friend's religion influenced her views on certain issues, when all evidence pointed otherwise. Instead of science perhaps I should say solid evidence; a theory is a theory of course so it isn't solid and not a very good example.
Can you give me examples of issues with better explanations that isn't evidence based? I can think of social media influences, abortion, sexual orientation etc since there isn't a clear cut answer to it. Issues I were referring to were "we never landed on the moon" "male rape doesn't exist" etc. Ones where some opinions are very stupid. LOL

And thanks!! : D ye, u mean the things on top of their head? It's the things that they feel strongly about

AmbiguityArt In reply to zephy0 [2015-09-15 19:49:32 +0000 UTC]

Oh I see. Well, I didn't mean the other person doesn't have evidence to back up their argument, what I meant was we rely too heavily on dismissing people's beliefs because of "scientific evidence", all the while forgetting that most of the sciences are in a constant state of theory, and popular scientific belief is constantly changing and varies from region to region (multiple theories on the same subject). For instance, it's very common that people can't accept anything outside the "theory of evolution" when it comes to why we share attributes with other creatures or why we're all adaptable, but many don't realize that there is no one theory, and even some scientists don't believe evolution(changing from one species to another) could have any possibility of happening because it's very foundation(the first cell) relies on too many random events occuring all at once in the worst of situations when they can't even reproduce it in the best of situations in a lab. This is why I feel lack of humility in learning is bad, because if in fact there is a possible major mistake going on that we see, but we can't admit to it, we will never explore other, possibly better explanations for the same thing.

Yeah, I kinda figured it was their thoughts, I just don't understand what they represent per se, like the tree and rock (or seed?).

zephy0 In reply to AmbiguityArt [2015-09-20 12:09:10 +0000 UTC]

Yeah you're right, I feel like we were talking about two different things. We never considered the Earth to be anything but a flat plane, or for the Americas to be out there etc. Of course I try to stay open-minded to new possibilities. It WOULD be helpful if it sounded reasonable though, unlike "we never landed on the moon".

the tree isΒ  how I'm thinking I wish it would be spring, the baby is abortion, the bread roll is food waste in more developed countries. You thought it was a rock?? omg Can you tell me why? I need to fix that.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AmbiguityArt In reply to zephy0 [2015-09-20 14:10:28 +0000 UTC]

Haha for sure. It's funny because there is no wind in space, so in order to get the American flag to look like it was blowing on the moon they put a wire inside of it .

LOL, sorry, I totally thought it was a rock. I'm used to seeing either rectangular bread or really long French bread though, so don't take me as an example of what it looks like to everyone. I think if it was easier to see that the center was a lighter color (I can barely make it out now that you mentioned it's bread) it would have read more obviously as bread, either that or maybe if you took 1 bite out of it? That might show food waste better actually since we tend to order more than what we can eat.
