Description AKA Portrait of a Horn

Special thanks to Emily for letting me use her horn.

Only editing = some dodging/burning to get rid of some ickiness, and the hue/sat for the tint. And the obvious frame and such.

Edit: Oh, and a little healing brush to clean it up a little. For those not in the know, brass instruments attact dust and dirtiness like a cat to a mouse or something.

ahh very cool macro here..i'm glad you told us what it was (not ever having played an instrument)

..I dig all the little details of it too (glad you didn't edit them out) like the fingerprints resulting from it being used / played..very good stuff

Nice photo, though I'm just repeating the others, I like the light and the crispness of it.

Dust and fingerprints can be a hassle, music stores sell lint free cloths, but its probably going overboard unless you plan to do extensive work with metallic objects.

Thanks for the comment.

Yeah, when I've actually got some spare money and/or time, I'll probably get some miscellanious things that would be useful in a lot of situtations. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you very much. I added the blueish tint as an afterthought, and in retrospect, I think it's the saving grace.

Thanks for the comment. Spent more time trying to figure out how not to get caught in a reflection than actually snapping photos.
