Since it would take forever to upload all of these individually, here they are in one pic. These are the starters for Pokemon Amber, and as you can see the trio works a bit differently. Instead of the usual fire-water-grass, it's ground-rock-ice. And it works, although the resistances aren't perfect. But the point of starters being what they are is that each Pokemon has a distinct advantage against one and a disadvantage against the other.Bottom row, reading left-to-right, they are:
Sheebit (ground rabbit)
Franole (ice lizard)
Wolvel (rock wolverine)
Middle row
Terrabbit (ground wallaby)
Ikana (ice two-legged iguana)
Lavarine (rock wolverine)
Back row
Laissure (ground rabbit... spotted... uh... awesome thing)
Arcidle (ice/flying flying snake)
Pyrsidian (rock/fire Wolverine)

Anyhow, I'm chief spriter for Amber, so most of my sprites have some relevance to the game. Yes, you heard me right, game-- Amber is a Pokemon game for the PC that's in development by a small team. It's lead by Illegible/Agent Myst. It will be a revolutionary Pokemon game, with a mix of fakemon and existing Pokemon. It's a closed project for now, but I'll post the link to the development forum once a demo is up.

So this is the original source of the Sheebit line from pokemon uranium. BTW I'm really liking the evolution line and the origins of the line. Good Job

HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO LONG. IMSORRY;;
It's interesting to see Ground, Ice and Rock starters, first of all. I'm more traditional, myself, with the fact that I stick to the Grass reptile, aquarian Water animal, and an animal that would suit Fire. I like how you've stepped out of that though and thought of your own circle, and the species choices make it even more unique!
Your designs on the Ice lizard/dragons are gorgeous, especially on the final evolution. I like how it starts off as a more lizard-like creature and becomes a serpent in the final form. <:
I see just small anatomy errors here and there, but you have the right idea with the shading and where the darker outlines should be situated, which alot of spriters tend to have trouble with.
The only two things that I could recommend to keep an eye on with your Ice starters is to be careful with the shading and outlines of the ice pieces, and to smoothen out the limbs and appendages more.
The Ground starters have nice designs, but I don't really see them as rabbits. The basic one at first glance doesn't resemble a rabbit too much. Some minor edits in the thickness of the body, and the length and smoothness of the ears could fix that up though. :3 Maybe make the tail more fluffier and the hind legs a little longer and thinner? :3
That also applies for the final evolution. Though I see that you're trying to make them look more wallaby-like. Make the ears smaller in comparison to the heads, and make the tails straight and a little stubby, and the front legs shorter and thinner. That may help. :3 Also with the middle evo, the eyes seem a bit too far down, giving it a cat-like face.
The colours you picked for the final evo is really good. I think those exact colours would suit well for the other two as well. The ears on the final evo are just so pretty! *w*
OMG;; A Wolverine Pokemon! o: I was planning on making a non-evolving wolverine Pokemon, because it's just so sad that they were never ever included in any region!
I like the concept and patterns you've given them, but they seem just a little bit untidy. If you made them a little more precise, it'd definitely give them a more striking appearance. It may help to make the facial features a little more obvious too. <;
I like how you've made their tails rock and lava, it fits well with the species. ^^

Hoo, wow, no this is cool. ._. I'm going to put up some obligatory self-defense in that these sprites are kind of old and I've improved since then (Laissure has even gotten a revamp), but I love a good crit when I see one. Unfortunately as far as I know Amber folded; I haven't spoken with the developer for a couple months now and um :/ But I still have the sprites, and crit's good if/when I decide to revamp them.
For the ice starters-- the ice colors were then taken from Regice (yes, directly) and I really have gotten better with outlining and shading since then I do think. ._. You're right on the anatomy, though, especially for Ikana whose legs are kind of I dunno.
I love the Sheebit line, and you're right they stop being rabbits after the first (Laissure isn't exactly anything); Sheebit fits my mental description of a rabbit fairly well though, I'm not sure what you meant by at first glance it doesn't look like one. Terrabbit is actually the oldest sprite in the batch, which is why there's so little contrast and the eyes are messed up and um.
Yeah, the Wolvel line has a little leeway in their designs; what's always bugged me about them is how there's so little difference between the evolutions (it basically just adds stuff, first rock armor and then fire). To some degree, it's meant to be kind of messy, but you're right; the spray of pebbles that form the evolutions' tails could be different. It might be fun to give these guys a rehash.
You're good at crit. :3 This was cool, and possibly the best crit I've recieved in a long time (although tbh it... may have helped if you'd done it on something more recent ._. but never mind). Thanks!

Hehe, I know that common excuse, but it's definitely true in alot of cases, and since spriters sprite ALOT, they improve really quickly too. <:

I love the idea of having a different set of starters. The details in each one is very creative and nice.
Sheebit is soo cute, but I love the design for Arcidle. I love the idea of a fire // rock pokemon, so Pyrsidian is epic.
If amber was on the ds I would buy it v...v

Sheebit is the mandatory cute mascot <3 Pyrsidian's a lava-armored Wolverine thing. 
It'll be free for the computer though, which I'm fairly sure you've got |D You'll know when the demo comes out~

People just need to open their minds to a different way of starting. Although I would love to start with a dark pokemon... or psychic... Now if they had that kind of triangle I don't think I would ever be able to start the game. l:

...Oh yeah, "Ambar," it's that hack on Whack A Hack that's almost like whatsitcalled, Quartz, only it's set ten years in the future or something. Yeah. No. Amber's in English, and it's not a romhack (it's significantly more legal than that) and there aren't too many gems left that people haven't taken, and the fact that it's called Amber is important to the plot.
So it doesn't matter that someone already used the name. We're not changing it.

but its actually a pretty horrible game, he pokemon arent designed well at all, its even worse than "Pokemon Chaos"

Is Pokemon Amber gonna have the same linear turn-by-turn battles (yawn) that are in the current Pokemon games, or a completely different battle system?

Alas, the battles are turn-by-turn as in regular games, sorry to disappoint. :< But it's a strategy game which revolves around this essential mechanic, soo... (plus, making real-time animated sprites for all Pokemon would be... hard. o_o

And about what I meant by linear, I was talking about the "I hit you, you hit me" type of battles as seen in the Pokemon games. I mean, it could still remain TBT, but maybe with a field to fight on or something?

Also... I like that the starters aren't just another Grass/Water/Fire triangle. I don't know why, I just like seeing something different (I myself am thinking of a Fire/Rock/Steel triangle... I just don't know what to make the Rock starter.). *faves*
