Finally, I decided what creature Nalini would be. She would be a Kirin who was banished from the Kirin Village by Rain Shine years before the vow of silence was made, simply because Nalini wanted to harbor society-rejected ponies that had nowhere to go. Rain Shine believed that harboring other ponies would compromise the peace of the Kirin Village, so Rain Shine decided to ban Nalini.

While still living in the village, Nalini had a daughter, but Rain Shine forbade Nalini to take her daughter away, which is why Nalini is so motherly with every other "rejected" pony (like Silky, Spider Trap, etc.).

Nalini's daughter ran away to try to find her mother, but did not find her, so she returned to the village and lived with a deep grudge against Rain Shine.

I know I know. Sad story. But it's not me if I don't create a sad or dramatic story for my OC's.
