Yes, cities really are. Give me clean air, forests or farm-fields, and a small town/village where everyone knows almost everyone over a city any day. I miss the place where I grew up. It's not like I live far from it distance-wise. No, I miss it TIME-wise. It's not like it used to be, there, anymore. *sigh*

I agree! I live in a village myself, far out in the forest. Our village only has, like, nine houses, and that's exactly what it's like. ^^ I love it ^^

Me too! For some reason I really like the possibilities for interactions between these two. Not in a romantic way of course, but in an odd friendship sort of way. I mean, are they friends? Undyne really only knows Sans at all because she's friends with Papyrus....But then again, I'm sure she would never want Sans to come to harm. Sooo....Lots of room to play around with their characters. ^^

Very true. But I guess that'd want to do that as an absolutely last resort. I mean, the mountain was there home, but in a way it was also their prison. They might be afraid that if they go back down the humans might find a way to seal them back down there again. Fear is keeping them on the Surface, but it is also keeping them from moving forward to a better future.

It's funny to imagine what the humans magic could be like to monsters
I mean, sure they have a lot of human things in the game, but what would they think if they discovered we have, for example, nuclear weapons? They would probably be scared to death!

Mmmm. True. I wonder what's more powerful, monster magic, or human invention. A blaster is pretty impressive, but a bomb can totally wipe out a ton of people. Kinda scary. From what I understand, or as far as my headcanon is concerned, the 'magic' that the humans have is something more 'normal' to the humans themselves. Like DETERMINATION. To a human, determination is just an emotion, while to a monster it's so much more. Which means all humans have a bit of what monsters would consider 'magic', but it was true magicians with true magic that trapped the monsters below ground.

I wonder right now if the humans emotions can be way too powerful for the monsters.
Remember Monsters Inc? In the movie, not only cries but laughs are very important for the monsters, because they produce energy for them to live.
What if Undertale carries the same essence in a way or another?
Maybe not emotions themselves, but the best qualities of the person.
The humans are not remembered by a name, but by their qualities: Kindness, Patience, Bravery...
Determination.
Maybe the items that we encounter in the way aren't just indicating the order of arrival, but by how far they went by their qualities.
Perseverance and Justice are very strong feelings, I must say, it would make sense for them to have made such a progress.

I think I may have exaggerated in A LOT of these thoughts (it's even dangerous for a non english native speaker to write this much)
