i cannot believe that you can fit that much detail in and still make it neat and clear. please tell me your process to drawing detail in a confined area, i.e. the shoulder guard.

Well I drew all the details in pencil first, then went over the lines with a thin-tipped pen. Took a great deal of care with the details, instead of trying to work fast, and just did my best to hide or incorporate any mistakes.

well drawn picture but Grey Knights don't carry Bolters and Chainswords. Beyond that the picture is well done and pretty neat.

dude i think this is probably the best thing I've seen you do, i like the calligraphy, i like the knight holding the blade on the guys right shoulder, you can see theres like statues in his pauldron - its awesome, and the hand-guard on that crazy blade. the designs on the crest on his right knee, pauldrons and breastplate though.. did you use some reference pictures or anything or was this all out of your head? - ive seen you use the old scrolls and stuff hanging from the cloths but not any crest designs like this, just curious, they look awesome. only thing that messes with me a little bit though is his left pauldron - that MORT with the cross checkerboard pattern, i cant tell its depth in the picture, i think you may have missed shading under it where it blocks light from hitting his arm, but i cant really tell what its purpose is so i don't know where it really is or what shape it is. anyways awesome picture man and nice follow through on the light source, i think this is my favorite piece you've done. also.. Knights are cool.. lol

I used a few references for popular space marine symbols. And I know about the issue with the left pauldron, but I felt that if I attempted to shade it, it would just look smaller

'Mort' is also death, but as a proper noun.
