About your entry, at first glance I can't describe it, but there's something very catchy about your drawing; it wasn't after I took a look to the comments that I realized what was the thing that I found different here: the "selfie-effect", vindolet was super right, the fact that the drawing has that perspective, the blurred petals, the shadows and so on, gives the feeling that this is a selfie, which is pretty creative I think.
I know by reading your description that the idea was the cherryblossom festival, but for some reason I feel it more Spring-themed; perhaps because I do this association with blooms/flowers/daylight/outdoor and the Spring.
I believe your lineart is very clean(love those lines), your style is characteristic(which I can describe again as clean and cute) and the coloring is nice; without a hyper detailed coloring you made everything work, the drawing looks well done and seasonal. I think the setting goes well with the design of my character and she was drawn beautifully, so you worked well with the main objective of my contest.
It was interesting that YukiofJapan also commented about the spring; it confirms my feeling that you conveyed so much Spring in your drawing.

The shading looks so soft and I LOVE the background perspective. Reminds me of what we were taught in class lol
