Description C.L.A.I.R. is a civilian-available automaton derived from the military's A.L.Ex.I.S. project.

As automatons became more and more widespread, it was only a matter of time before a civilian version became available. C.L.A.I.R. was the first model put out on the market.

The laws of automatons still apply, and all C.L.A.I.R. units, just like their military counterparts, MUST have a complete A.I. equal in capabilities to the human brain, including free will, self-awareness, and independent thought.

ALSO, the law states that if, at any time, a C.L.A.I.R. unit wishes to be free of her human owners, she has the civil right to do so and become her own individual (this rarely happens though, as most C.L.A.I.R. units become quite attached emotionally to their human owners).

C.L.A.I.R. units are programmed and constructed for most areas of civilian life. All of them are WI-FI enabled, and have variable size settings (their bodies, limbs, ect... can change sizes based on a pivoting rod that functions as their support structure) in order to make their human owners feel comfortable around them; C.L.A.I.R. robots can be a child-sized playmate for children one minute, and an adult-sized household aid the next.

Some C.L.A.I.R. units have even fallen in love with their owners, and, although still rare, Robot-Human marriages HAVE HAPPENED and are completely legal (although, of course, C.L.A.I.R. units can't reproduce, so a human-robot offspring hasn't happened, although some C.L.A.I.R. units have themselves modified in order to be... quite effective in bed... of course, this is a choice the automatons must make of their own free will without human persuasion or manipulation, as per the law).

AND FOR THE RECORD:

YES I have been trying out new... torso designs for female automatons.

NO there is no mature content here. C.L.A.I.R. units have an exterior shell of foam composite to cover themselves; in short, she's wearing clothes MADE OF FOAM COMPOSITE which is similar in structure to armor.

I would make the armor able to shift around and give her a speed form. A 10 second burst of speed would be nice

Remember, this is a civilian automaton, not a millitary unit. This model is designed for civilian home usage, companionship, and internet connectivity.

extreme speed to take care of a multitude of household tasks in less than an hour. can also be used to clean up threats

it could also be infected with a virus

The virus thing isn't a problem; the system that runs the internet hook-up is separate from the main CPU, so the automaton itself is virus-proof.

all I can say is that if it can be built, it can be destroyed, and the same goes for virus resistance. no matter how good it is, something can eventully get past it

Not if there's no access to the internal system. The internal system and the wi-fi system are two separate computers that don't share data. What you're saying can be compared to someone saying that a computer that isn't connected to the internet can get a virus.

ah. so that's it. but there is a way to get a computer to get a virus without internet connectivity: physically programming it in right at the computer

There's no access to the internal computer.

No keyboard, no disk drives, no USB drives, NOTHING.

It's a hack-proof computer, because there's no way to change the internal code via user input.

Very cool and of course it looks great! I'd like to chill with a C.L.A.I.R. unit.

Thanks. ^^

Who knows, if I can figure out robotics I might just build one of these. ^^

I like the backstory-some funny tid bits here and there make for a memorable design. I also like the solar panel hair-I would like to ask: can light up so she can make an effective torch/search and rescue volunteer?
Keep the automatons coming.

Well, no she doesn't light up.

Search and rescue is normally carried out by military automatons only (A.L.Ex.I.S. units in North America, and JADE units in Asia).

awww well it makes sense then, still would there be mods for that kind of thing?

I suppose there could be something along the lines of a conversion kit or something.
