This one shouldn't have taken a year! orz

I started the drawing stage for this back in July of last year, then started painting it in the following month. But I would get to it and then spend time away from it weeks to a month at a time. I would've finished this 2 months ago, really, but between other projects, Transformers "happening to me", plus LIFE stuff related to my field of interest this past month, these things have delayed my progress with it.

But it's done now, and I am so very happy to finally share it... though I'll kinda miss working on it for a while. You know what they say; it's not the destination, it's the journey. And now at least I can continue on more of my other drawings waiting in line to be finished.

So yes, um... Red and Axl... Reddo and Akuseru, if you will...

I love them so hard it's not even funny.

One may be wondering, "Who is the 'him' that you are referring to, ZF-Mu?" Well folks... it really can go both ways here. ^^

Axl says:

"Because of him, I know love."
"Because of him, I know respect."
"Because of him, I know there is good in this world."
"Because of him, I am strong."
"Because of him... I am alive."

Red says:

"Because of him, I have hope for the future."
"Because of him, I know I have a heart."
"Because of him, I know I made a difference..."
"Because of him, I became something bigger than myself."
"Because of him... I know joy."

The quote on the picture is not dialogue from an MMX game, it's just a line Axl would say in some of the daydreams I always have about this sort of thing.

I do agree that their relationship can be seen as *like* a father and son (maybe compared with mentor Piccolo and trainee Gohan from DBZ). But if anything, though it's not at all clear in the 7th game of the MMX series, I believe Axl and Red had shared a bond that not even X or Zero can replicate to Axl. Red was the one who found him and somewhat adopted him, giving Axl a second chance at life... and no one can take something like that away from Axl's heart. I think that is what makes this pairing a very special one and the very reason that I love it so much.

A fangirl's a fangirl, what can I say? (Yeah, I know Crona is a boy but you get the idea ^^)

I want to put this pairing in a more positive light than it's been. I hope I've somewhat achieved getting closer to that, as this pic will be the first in a series of serious ReddoAkuseru drawings that I wish to make (as that is why I call it "ReddoAkuseru 1"). I have another one in progress , but........ it is going to take some time. T^T

Yes... I know that they look very affectionate to each other here, but this image is the way it is for some very good reasons. I hope you do enjoy it. If, however, you don't like seeing them together like this, then what ever are ya doin' here?
