Commission for
This was a first for me. Never did a character on this huge scale before. Thankfully, it was set in a mountain range and not a city (working with organic designs is much easier for me).
All the atmospheric and lighting tricks I had up my sleeve were used to push the illusion of depth and really convey the sense of scale.
Hope you like it.

Now, I'll open up some more COMMISSION SLOTS this Friday 28th.
As always, I'll upload something and then post the Journal entry about commissions.
I usually upload it around this time.

I've come back to look at this several times, because not only is the perspective great, but the expression is too. You really did a fantastic job here.

This is simply wonderful.Β I love giga size, and the sense of scale is very well done, especially if you aren't used to this size.

That... is badass. I think you've outdone yourself this time; perspective and environment are two of the hardest things for me and you've completely made it work.

Thanks!
When working with depth I try to keep in mind where to put more/less details (if it's close, more detailing, more contrast and more saturation, if it's far, less of that).
And for perspective, especially for these extreme angles, use reference. It's hard to come up with this kind of thing off the top of your head.

I donβt use references nearly enough and I feel like my skill develops much more slowly than it could be because of that. Iβll keep your advice in mind.
