something I wanted to do for a while as a group. so here it is, ~graphicfuel , as a group.pencil, brush&ink, gouache, acrylic ink, acrylic paint, tombo marker + digital

This piece reminds me of an episode of a T.V. show called Project Blue Book (about official Government UFO investigations) where an alien ship was reported to display, in an attempt at communication, short clips of large and loud lip images/sounds strung together in a sort of audio/video collage of speech. Using three images possibly sets up a temporal narrative where you can sense a story of offence, outrage, and making up. The use of lips also suggests communication in itself, which is even more interesting here in that you are collaborating (a sort of communicative interchange) with another artist (graphicfuel), and have something to say in this piece (which is, ironically, visually silent). It's amazing how much human emotion can be expressed in these images that are also so beautiful in their formal abstraction-- emotional in your chosen content, and in your stylistic vigor. Excellent!!!
