I know, I've been away these days due to university and stuff... the 5th semester is not pretty easy at all but I'm doing it good. Hospital classes are pretty fun... we interact with the patients and our tutor is very cool, in some aspects. I did this drawing past Wednesday, my lil sis ClaudiaGG had the kindness of sharing me her colors which is something she almost never does but anyway it helped me to do this. As about the artwork...
I think the tittle is more close to the game's real name than just DOOM. With the Corporal Flynn "Fly" Taggart, United States Marine Corps, sn# 888-23-9912 AKA: DOOMguy as the brown haired guy you see in the stats bar when playing the game I wanted to draw something like my fav map on DOOM 2, The Industrial Zone, but I changed my mind and started doing just the marine with the 2 barreled shotgun, in first plane (thats why it looks big) then added other weapons like the rocket launcher and plasma gun on his back, and that pistol too. Would've look cooler with 2 weaopns on each hand rather than just the doubl'o'barreled shotgun. Went for coloring and then I added the cyberdemon on his back, colored him as well, then I though adding a bg which I did and you see there.
There were many occasions where I almost screwed this up I tell you
The pic overall took me 2 hours 15 mins- 1:30 hours for drawing
- 0:45 hours for coloring
More or less....

Why thank you, and sorry for the late reply. Im glad you enjoyed this tribute to Oldschool DOOM, it was teh 2nd fps i ever played (after wolf3d) and really enjoyed it, I even got the Doomsday game atm so i play it quite often

Man, you draw like a madman, you pay so much detail to it when you draw it out, with the lining and shaping. Then you colour it so boldly and shade it so well to give it a three dimensional feel, like it's alive. You should do this more often.

This is a bit of a different coloring technique for you and I can see that you did put alot of time and effort into it.
The colors are bold and rich which is how I like to do them too, but there is a lack of shadows in the colors that makes it look a little flat, as if it is all on the same plane. Perhaps if you deepened the backround it would make the foreground pop more.

Yeah I enjoyed coloring this since I hadn't colored anythign in a long time u know? Well as usual I make flat looking pics, anyway that's cuz of what u said, the fact that I didn't put much shadows here. Well in the DOOM game u dond't see much shadows either
