I'm glad to hear it! I think music and illustration as art forms go hand in hand. If done right they can inspire and motivate people, make them feel.
Feeling some kind of personal connection to a song for yourself or for a character you're trying to convey, I think is something truly grounding and magical at the same time. Music alleviates my art-block and gives me so many ideas for these characters and others whose stories I have yet to fully conceptualize. It helps me think, de-stress, and really get into the mindset of whatever mood a piece is starting to take on. It's poetry, sometimes wordless, set to the sounds our souls would make in our heads if we could not speak.
I've never had any musical talent. Don't know any instruments. Can't sing. But I've always wanted to create something that would be meaningful to someone, anyone, like music has been to me throughout my life. Wish the school I'd attended had more opportunities for creativity and music as they are so important for kids to have an outlet to express themselves. Music is more important than people realize, I think, and the best teachers I've had are the ones who truly have their heart in what they do, and choose to share their knowledge and passion. I find it really awesome that you've chosen a path that will help folks realize their potential and wish you the best of luck on your endeavor.

And yes to the following, it is 501st blue and there was certainly some thought as to where and what kind of first tattoo someone like Headshot would choose. Something bold because why the hell not, holding some personal significance, but small enough to be completed within a sporadic session down-time between assignments.
