Finest Hour - Card Number 58: Pinkamena Diane Pie

“It is done. I will try to get the first helper through immediately. If the notes are correct, all I should have to do is to focus on the one I want to find.”

Rainbow Dash had an idea for Twilight.

“We need someone to strike some fear into the enemies. I don’t know anyone directly, but can you focus on an emotion instead?”

Twilight thought for a moment.

“Well… uhmm… it could work. I’ll try that, but stay on guard. It could be something much worse that comes through the portal.”

In a shower of small sparks, the something made its way through. It looked a lot like Pinkie Pie, a bit darker in the color perhaps, but that was simply not possible. The real Pinkie Pie was right next to them.

“Hi there, do you want to be my friends?”

Rainbow looked closely at the darker pink pony in front of them.

“That one seems awkwardly familiar. Do you think it is friendly?”

“It looks like that. Hi there, and welcome to Equestria. Of course we want to be your friends, will you help us against an army of invaders that have besieged Canterlot?”

Twilights answer seemed to spark something in the pony’s mind. The strange pony looked around at them, with a dark hunger in its eyes.

“But of course, anything for my friends, just like my friends will help me with baking cakes.”

“Uhm, sure, we can bake later, but for now, we have a lot of problems to deal with.”

“But I want to bake NOW! I have everything I need here.”

Twilight took a good look at her. No bags, no supplies, no following luggage made from sentient pear wood. Nothing.

“You do? But you don’t have anything with you. What kind of cake can you bake from nothing?

From out of nowhere, the strange pony pulled a knife, and lunged at Rainbod Dash.

“I can make a Rainbow Dash flavored cake! Come on, it wont hurt!”

Ranbow Dash was quick to block the knife with on of her wing blades, sending the pink pony flailing around behind her. She then pinned her to the ground with her hooves, preventing any further attacks.

“Clearly not friendly. Twilight, your turn!”

In a flash of pale, blue flames, the spell Twilight cast on the pony banished it back to whatever home it came from.

“From what twisted world could that come from?”

The portal cracked with energy, as another being made is way through. It then gave off a loud answer to their question:

“The same world as the one where she is AWESOME!”
