Optional challenge picture for #Poke-Pals PokeBattle Tour 2011

This time featuring some of the contestants wandering around on route 1!

"Route 1... So this is Kanto, huh?" Razen took a deep breath and gazed around. The place didnt seem to vary much from sinnoh, the grass was green and the sky blue just like at home. Only the pokemon made a difference.

Suddenly Razen saw something walk next to him. He gazed down and saw a small charmander which was eyeing the tall grass almost as tall as herself. It looked like she was going in, but at the same moment she sat down and sighed.
"You wanna go in there?" Razen asked calmly, crouching next to the small pokemon. Starfire lifted her gaze and nodded. "It's a bit hard to walk there though... my flame will burn the grass." Razen smiled at her and lowered his head. "I can give you a ride. I was going there anyway."

After a bit of walking a wild pidgey came to greet them. Using Razen's head as a landing point, it started a conversation with Starfire, discussing weather and asking about the tournament. The little charmander chattered happily with the bird, and occasionally Razen threw an opinion on too.

After walking a while, they met an another group of pokemon wandering in the grass. Zu-chan the zubat and the mascots Pikachu and Charmander were enjoying the warm sunlight on a grassy ledge. Happily greeting each other, Razen suddenly noticed something red on the ground. Crouching down to pick it, he soon noticed it was a pokeball.
"Oooooh wow, I've never seen one so close! I just remember dodging these. A funny little thing, actually." After showing the ball to everyone and answering the kid's questions, the whole group turned back to meet up with the rest of the gang. Later in the night, Razen rolled the ball on the tip of his claw. Even if he'd be going home, at least he'd have a souvenir.

Ok so I know this is crappy xD But I just wanted to make this picture have a sunny feeling to it. Enjoy!

And yes, THAT is the famous "tall grass" Oak keeps babbling about in the games.
