I think my style and skill has evolved since my work on Hell Paso. I've always liked to give a certain amount of grit to my art, but I never liked how messy it'd come out. So since last summer I've been trying to find a happy medium between clean lines and gritty art. People like and pull it off perfectly. So I've been studying them for months. I have limited scanner access so most of the stuff I've been posting since my Hell Paso work is digital give or take a few pieces. But I've been working on my style, working on my inking skills, and all of that for months. I'm the kind of person that'd rather ink myself than do just pencils. I love ink. So I've been trying to improve a lot on how I ink myself.

So my friend *benjonesart was telling me at the EPCON jam the other day that I should make prints for EPCON and any other thing I sell work at. Prints of well known characters. Characters who have movies coming out soon. More people will buy them. So I figured I might as well sell-out and do that . Well my cousin's b-day was today, he loves Captain America, Captain America movie is coming out this year, and I need to draw him anyways for some prints.

So I drew this up last night. Took me maybe 5-6 hours. Maybe less. I'm fast with ink. I gave him the original as a gift. And kept the scan to color or pay someone else to color so I can make prints. Win win. This is more or less what my style has been evolving to lately as far as comics go. It's my attempt at doing clean line work, but adding dark grittyness to it at the same time.

My next sellout piece should be Thor. And if anyone can suggest any super cool popular characters I can make a print of then have at it.
